Study

As a city of learning, research and opportunity, there are plenty of options for studying in Swansea.

There’s the world-class and internationally recognised Swansea University, established in 1920, this university boasts two beachside campuses both a stone’s throw away from the city centre. There’s a wealth of academic subjects offered and an extraordinary roster of extra-curricular sports, societies and activities to be a part of.

UWSTD (University of Wales Trinity St David) also recently acquired campuses within the city centre. This innovative new facility amalgamates several Welsh universities, pooling together their resources and expertise to provide a unique learning experience.  The Swansea hub of this super-university houses a school of art, a business campus and a faculty of architecture, computing and engineering.

It’s not just universities Swansea has to offer, there’s also the fantastic Gower College offering both full and part-time courses and a range of qualifications including AS & A Level, Diplomas, HNDs/HNCs and Foundation Degrees, as well as an excellent variety of apprenticeships and vocational courses.

Swansea city centre is a fantastic destination for all, whether you plan to study, visit or work here, the delights of the city centre, the quaint Swansea Marina, the stunning coastline and fabulous promenade will have you falling in love with the city by the sea!
