Entertainment

The Grand Theatre, is situated in the heart of the city centre on Singleton Street. Throughout the year it plays host to major touring companies performing a variety of musicals, plays, comedians, ballets and opera as well as the festive favourite pantomime.

Swansea Arena is South Wales’ newest multi-purpose entertainment and events space, a 3,500 capacity state-of-the-art arena. Swansea Arena hosts a range of shows, including side-splitting comedy, epic music gigs and captivating musical theatre and more! 

Volcano Theatre is a theatre company based in Swansea. They create original work that is always playful, inventive, risky and surprising – whatever form it takes.

Cinema 

Whether you’re after big blockbusters or emerging festival favourites, Swansea’s three cinemas have a varied choice of films and times to suit everyone. The Odeon multiplex in Parc Tawe has a range of screens as well as specialist film clubs to become a part of. Vue Cinema on York Street boasts a 13 cinema screens of varying capacities, all with the option to upgrade to plush VIP seating. Whilst Cinema & Co on Castle Street is a cosy independent cinema complete with a bar that screens nostalgic movie favourites as well as new indie flicks and also hosts live music events.
